July 5th, 6th, 7th, 2022
9:30 am to 4:30 pm Daily - Ages 8 to 15
3 days Cost: $415+tax, use of ranch horse additional
Camp #1 is geared for those in the beginning stages of their
horsemanship. They can expect to learn:
Level 1/2

Approach & retreat without horse moving
-
Put the halter on correctly and tie the correct knot
-
Clean all four feet
-
Confident with carrot stick and string
-
Moves horse without opposition reflex - steady pressure & rhythmic pressure
-
Back your horse away from you and bring him back
-
Circle your horse in both directions, HQ yield is effective
-
Lateral flexion on both sides
-
Ride bareback at a walk
-
Emergency dismount
-
Knows basic tack
-
Knows parts of the horse

horsemanship, or confident at a trot and beginning canter.

** Full payment is required to book for camp. Lesson horses are $40/day.
Please email info@fehranch.com to have an invoice sent for bookings and to have a registration form emailed to you, we have limited lesson horses, first come first served.
