Camp #1 is geared for those in the beginning stages of their
horsemanship. They can expect to learn:
Level 1/2

Approach & retreat without horse moving

Put the halter on correctly and tie the correct knot

Clean all four feet

Confident with carrot stick and string

Moves horse without opposition reflex - steady pressure & rhythmic pressure

Back your horse away from you and bring him back

Circle your horse in both directions, HQ yield is effective

Lateral flexion on both sides

Ride bareback at a walk

Emergency dismount

Knows basic tack
-
Knows parts of the horse

Camp #2
July 13th, 14th, 15th, 2021
9:30 am to 4:30 pm Daily

Camp #2 is aimed towards riders in their second year of horsemanship, they must confidently show me all the stages of level 1/2. They can expect to learn:
Level 2/3

Confident in all tasks in Level 1/2

Move your horse sideways along a fence

Send horse between you and an object

Send your horse over a small jump

Horse is confident with a flag or plastic bag

Horse follows you forward, stops and backs without touching

While sending in a circle, change directions at the walk without stopping

Back your horse straight 20’

Ride horse sideways along a fence

Show vertical flexion

Ride bareback at a trot

Smoothly perform the 4 quarters

July 20th, 21st, 22nd, 2021

Camp #3 is geared to riders over 15yrs of age or advanced
in their horsemanship, they must confidently show me all the
stages of level 1/2/3. They can expect to learn:
Level 3/4

Confident in all tasks in Level 1/2/3

Smoothly perform the 4 quarters with speed

Back your horse through a gate

Load your horse into a horse trailer without stepping into the trailer

Ride bareback at a canter

Ride horse sideways in the middle of an open area

Lead your horse by the front leg

Back your horse over a pole or log

While sending the horse in a circle, change directions at the trot without stopping
